The small group that I’ve been leading just had a meeting talking about these questions. Besides leading groups, I also coach small group facilitators.

Another question each group needs to ask: What are the negotiables and what are the non-negotiables? Each group goes through stages of development, and at each stage some of the members are going to be stretched. It’s important to draw out the negotiables and the non-negotiables as the group transitions through changes.
