Be an Observer, Not a Watcher
Take the time today to be an observer. Truly understanding people–their motivations, their hopes, their fears–will enable you to design a strategy that will connect beyond the usual suspects.
Loved this line from New York Times writer Peter Leschak:
“All of us are watchers–of television, of time clocks, of traffic on the freeway–but few of us are observers. Everyone is looking, not many are seeing.”
Let us all be observers, and not merely watchers.
