How are you doing…really?

Do you have one of those people in your life? You know, the ones that ask how you’re doing and actually want to know? Or to be correct, really want to know?

“Hey, good morning. How ya doin?

We all have the people that ask as a pleasantry. Or even a formality.

You have that, right?

But do you have anyone that asks how you’re doing and really wants to know?

When I moved to Las Vegas and took the position at Canyon Ridge, I learned right away I was going to be asked this question at least monthly by my senior pastor. He’s a shepherding kind of leader and truly cares about how I’m doing.

I also learned that my supervisor was going to ask me the same question. But with my supervisor it has an added meaning.

How are you doing…really?

Please read this very carefully, too:

You also need it professionally. It’s integral to building a thriving small group ministry. Without it, it’s tempting to cover up issues and maintain the appearance of ministry health. But if we are to steward well our one and only life, we need someone (or several) who will ask us how we’re really doing professionally (in terms of our objectives and goals).

Do you have someone who’s asking you how you’re doing really…professionally?

I want to help you grow professionally:

The reason I’m launching my newest mini-course: Visualize, Prioritize, Optimize and Supersize (Your Small Group Ministry) is that I believe all of us need a method to apply rigorous planning and and execution and evaluation.

Without it, even with someone who’s asking us how we’re really doing professionally (in terms of our objectives and goals) we’ll be fumbling for answers more often than not.

And I don’t want that for you. Or me.

Have you considered signing up for Visualize, Prioritize, Optimize and Supersize?
