What Are You Doing In The New Year?
Got plans for group life in the new year? One of the things I love about being connected with so many small group ministries across the country (and around the world) is the opportunity to hear what many have planned. After all, late January/early February is one of the most important connecting seasons (I believe second only to late September/early October). So what you do in the next 30 to 60 days is critical!
Want to share with the rest of us? What do you have planned? Use the comment section below and spill the beans!
I looked through the archives here and picked out three articles that I think will help you no matter what you have planned. They might even jump start your thinking if you’re a little stalled.
- 5 December Keys to a Great GroupLife January give you a quick overview of some no-brainer parts of a year long strategy.
- What To Do Right Now (to get to where you want to go in 2009) was a very popular post this time last year. Just change the dates! The strategies are still right on target.
- How To Launch Groups Using a Small Group Connection is a four part series that I wrote detailing the Connection strategy which works great in January and is much more effective than the HOST idea at the start of the year.
Already have your plan in place? Even a cool part of it? Take a moment and share what you’ve got planned! Use the comment section and share what you’ve got up your sleeve. Imagine the opportunity to make a difference in the life of someone you may never meet!
We are holding a group connection event on Sunday, January 24th. This time around we will be using North Point’s “Community Your Pathway to Progress” starter group curriculum. Our Halftime Huddle (vision casting & leader planning for healthy groups) for all group leaders & co-leaders is scheduled for Saturday, January 30th. I’m also meeting with our coaches the first part of January for lunch on a Sunday for coaching ministry evaluation & coaches development.
That’s a great start to the year! Thanks for sharing your plan!
